Job: Fitter and Fabricator

Our client manufacture machine guards and custom covers. The business has grown to become a leading supplier of protection for the full range of today’s CNC machinery and a specialist in machinery, plant and process safety solutions. Due to expansion, our client is looking for an experienced Fabricator/On-site fitter. The role will include working both in the workshop and on site all over the UK as required by the company fitting guards to machines such as lathes, mills and drills so a willingness to drive or travel is a must. Hotels and meals are provided by the company whilst away.

Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of working with ferrous and non-ferrous steel, mild steel & aluminium
• Good knowledge of various manufacturing processes
• Welding experience (MIG/TIG)
• Working from engineering drawings and diagrams
• Able to carry out manufacture to engineering tolerances of a high standard and specification

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work in a small team
• Good understanding of health and safety
