Here's what you'll be doing
The E.ON I&C Pillar combines the current nPower nBS & E.ON B2B businesses to create a new £5billion revenue business serving c60,000 customers and around 300,000 meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK.
Right now, we're looking for a Portfolio Governance Manager to join our Digital Technology & Change team. For this role, you will lead a team of Programme Management Office professionals to assure and co-ordinate IT and Business wide change delivery across an entire set of programmes and projects, products and workstreams and other related activities. This role is based in Solihull with hybrid working.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and own a process for selecting the right programmes and projects aligned to the Industrial and Commercial (I&C) strategy. Establish and run the portfolio planning and prioritisation function setting out the options and justification for the proposed expenditure in support of the IT function.
- Facilitate the governance of change and solution design through provision of a Design Authority with a remit to cover new change approvals and design thinking options.
- Manage the planning and allocation of the right resources to the right programmes and projects.
- Responsible for the delivery and maintenance of a fit for purpose (methodology agnostic) Governance Model and supporting Change delivery systems and processes.
- Manage the process governance framework to maintain process integrity including the team accountability for configuration librarian and quality control.
- Deliver organisation wide governance and controls including holding a central record and management information reporting of system access and role permissions, license volumes and allocation and ticket ownership and volume/KPI reporting.
- Manage the delivery of KPI performance reporting across the IT function including monthly cadence for Performance Dialogue delivery.
- Accountable for effective and comprehensive portfolio, programme and project level reporting to inform decision making at a senior level.
What we need from you
- Knowledge of digital technology software, systems, process, people relationships, solution architecture, process hierarchy, service providers and governance frameworks.
- The ability to influence key stakeholders at discretionary levels.
- Experience in providing clarity and certainty in a complex environment.
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience of portfolio, programme and project planning and management, and strategic change planning and monitoring, across multi delivery methodologies e.g., Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Prince2, Managing Successful Programmes / APM certification.

- Knowledge and experience within the energy industry, or familiarity with the structure and organisation of utilities and their primary activities.
