Job description
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Head of Psychology to lead a thriving department. This is a permanent, full time position starting in August 2024. You must be committed to active and innovative teaching and learning, be passionate about the subject and able to teach across the range of courses offered by the department. The courses currently delivered are A-Level Psychology and the BTEC Certificate and Extended Certificate in Applied Psychology. We are committed to representing a range of voices in the texts which we choose to study in order to expose our learners to as broad a range of perspectives and experiences as possible. We are passionate about enrichment and support our students to participate in a variety of extra-curricular visits and experiences.
As a Head of Psychology, you will be a skilled practitioner, with a proven track record in respect to outcomes and experience in managing teams, have talent, vision and the skill to inspire excellence in both colleagues and students.
This is a full time, permanent position. The salary will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges’ scale NJC scale 1 – 9 (£35,125 - £51,758) plus Responsibility Allowance ranging from (£3,667-£4,646), inclusive of Inner London Weighting.
