Job description

Founded in 1979, Autosmart International manufacture and deliver vehicle cleaning products for customers within the automotive trade. The diverse customer base includes car dealerships, haulage companies, and car and van rental organisations.

Autosmart International's unique business model is one of developing products in-house with an enthusiastic team of chemists and specialist experts, manufacturing on-site, and delivering vehicle cleaning products directly to customers, via a network of enterprising, independent franchisees. These elements all contribute to Autosmart's success both in the UK and internationally.

This is the perfect time to join Autosmart as their Marketing Director.

This is a newly created role, and over the next 12 months the Marketing Director will be tasked with creating a new team of marketing experts including leading the communications and design function, who will support all markets by taking advantage of improved BI from their van-based POS and ERP systems and the new manufacturing site with increased capacity. The new £35m state of art factory will be operational from the end of 2024 and is based in Burntwood, Staffordshire, close to their Shenstone Head Office.

Job Description

Reporting to the UK Managing Director the key responsibilities will include:

· As a member of the Board, drive profitable growth through the targeted strategic marketing that delivers the right product range, launching relevant new products, and successfully communicating to their franchise partners and consumers.

· Develop a strategic marketing plan to deliver increased sales and profit growth through a first-class product and marketing communications strategy to support the company's growth plans

· Set the company's product and central marketing strategy with each of their geographic markets - UK, Ireland, France, Sweden, DACH, Holland, and Australia.

· Own the product P&L driving profitability through increased sales, range management, franchisee motivation, and efficiency improvements for the benefit of Autosmart and our franchisees.

· Proactively collect and value ideas for product, marketing and sales process improvements and implement to grow sustainable profits.

· Lead cross functional teams in the development of project briefs and programme delivery.

· Undertake primary and secondary research including franchisee and customer visits.

· Track KPIs and develop new working practices that improve the quality and efficiency of supporting processes.

The Successful Applicant

Experience required:

· Proven track record in delivering sales and profit growth through strategic marketing, range management (PLC) and product development to B2B channels and partners.

· KPI and data driven commercial approach, using ROI and business wide perspective to drive decision making.

· Capable of building a well-structured team and cross business processes, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

· A strong marketing generalist with an excellent mix of hands-on and operational experience.

The role will require a candidate who is commutable to Burntwood, Staffordshire. Both UK and international travel will be required.
