Recruit4Staff are proud to be represent their client, an internationally renowned construction & civil engineering company in their search for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Managerto work on their newly awarded contract in the North Wales area

For the successful Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager our client is offering:

  1. Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 per annum (Negotiable depending on experience & skillset)
  2. Days working hours 
  3. Permanent role
  4. Company car or car allowance
  5. Pension with up to 8% contribution from the client
  6. 25 days holiday + Bank holidays

The Role - Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager

  1. To lead and be accountable for the heath & safety for the entire project
  2. Establish and provide leadership in best practice in safety, health and sustainability matters for the project
  3. Advise and support the project directors, managers and supervisors to discharge their H&S responsibilities regarding their employees and others to whom they have duty as defined by legislation
  4. Ensure management controls are in place so that all staff are aware of their statutory duties and responsibilities
  5. Take a lead with site management teams ensuring compliance
  6. Manage & carry out regular surveillance, inspections, audits of sites and workplaces to ensure all works are being carried out in accordance to the heath & safety policies
  7. Lead, partake and oversee accident/ indecent investigations
  8. Manage, collate and review H&S statistics for the project to identify trends and areas of improvement
  9. Provide reports, presentations and information
  10. Develop, organisie and oversee induction processes

What our client is looking for in a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager

  1. NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ 5 in Occupational Safety and Health (Preferred)
  2. NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate ESSENTIAL
  3. IOSH Certificate BENEFICIAL
  4. Previous on-site experience on major infrastructure projects (ideally Tunnel projects) - ESSENTIAL
  5. Qualified under CSCS Card system ESSENTIAL
  6. Experience of Environmental Management in a construction environment BENEFICIAL
  7. An excellent understanding of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Risk Management, legislation and industry standards
  8. Have knowledge of different environments such as working at height, confined spaces and arrangement of equipment plus knowledge of safety practices to use in conjunction with tools and plant in the workplace.
  9. An understanding and application of administrative processes for Principal Contractor and Contractor as required by CDM 2015 Regulations
  10. Understanding and application of administrative processes for Temporary Works
  11. Understanding and application of administrative processes for New Roads and Streetworks Activities
  12. Hold a current UK Driving Licence
  13. Have suitable PC Skills using Microsoft office software
