Position Summary

Role Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance Manager to be positioned at our Ansty site in Coventry, where you will report into our Site Operations Manager. You’ll be accountable for ensuring maximum cost effectiveness and the reliability of our manufacturing process and machinery. In this leadership role which is both strategic and technical in nature, you’ll provide a comprehensive service to Ansty Park and satellite sites, being responsible for supporting and guiding the Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance teams in delivering a proactive and professional service to the business.

Core Responsibilities
• Leading and managing a combined Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance team across two sites based in Coventry, which combined is 32 FTE
• Providing daily manufacturing process support, development and design reviews
• Processing efficiency improvements, i.e. kaizen and cost saving projects
• Supporting programming activities at the location, including CNC, robotic and test program operations
• Leading and developing the engineering excellence programme in line with best practice methodology and principles
• Delivering a sustainable maintenance programme through the development of the team, processes, ways of working and the consistent application of improvement to these areas
• Being an active participant of the Ansty Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
• Operating as both an active and effective leader within the designated area of responsibility
• Driving participation of High Performance Teams (HPT’s) within appropriate area of responsibility, including participation in Natural Teams and Project teams

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Demonstrable solid track record of achievement in Maintenance Engineering and Maintenance Management, in a progressive organisation
• Experience in working in a high precision manufacturing environment
• Good computer skills are desirable, as is a knowledge of the computer systems used (SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Knowledge of plant equipment and services
• Knowledge and experience in Planned Preventative Maintenance
• Working knowledge of statutory regulations – electrical, pressure systems and transportable gas, manual handling etc.
• Must be prepared to work in hazardous areas, i.e. basements, pits, service ducts, towers, roofs and substations etc. as there will be a requirement to work in all areas of the site and satellite sites e.g. CVD, Test Houses etc.
• Lean manufacturing experience / knowledge of lean methodologies, six sigma
