Job description
Participating in sandwich and baguette making for the Bistro, other simple food preparation duties as instructed and allocated by the Catering Manager, other Department Managers and Supervisors Taking Bistro washing up through to the plate washing area. Occasional participation in function work and duties in the Swannery Restaurant if required. Taking note of customer comments, any complaints etc., passing these promptly to the Catering Manager. General duties as per tasking sheets to ensure an effective, customer friendly service is provided at all times. Adheres to departmental sickness and absence reporting procedures. Completes any log sheets associated with departmental hygiene control systems. Observes Health & Safety procedures at all times. To undertake any duties as may be required. Appear for duty on time in a clean and tidy uniform wearing the correct footwear. Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene To attend any training or refresher courses as required. Demonstrates duties to new starters. To observe departmental/Trust policies on Fire, Health & Safety at Work, COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and Accident Reporting. To adhere strictly to correct food hygiene practices in accordance with departmental policy, Food Hygiene Regulations, Food Safety Act and local procedures. Participates in departmental Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point System (HACCP) Report pest sightings to the Catering Manager or the Administration Officer
