Servicing our prestigious contract with the Scottish Parliament we are now seeking a Head Chef to oversee our busy controlled catering services.

Our contract encompasses the Staff restaurant and Public Café which typically serves any where between 700 and 800 covers per day as well. In addition the Head Chef also manages the preparation of additional hospitality catering and the occasional Private Dinner servicing between 20 and 250 guests.

Managing up to 10 staff made up of Chefs and Kitchen porters you will need to lead by example and boast excellent communication and time management skills.

Our site is large with a diverse population of different cultures and backgrounds and different levels of government personnel including politicians so someone that can connect with people and conduct themselves with integrity and credibility is key.

You will attend monthly management meetings where you will give updates so a confident public speaker is a must.

You will also have accountability for;

This role will predominately be Monday to Friday 7-3:30 with an expectation of mandatory overtime if daily duties have not been completed. There may also be occasional evening and weekend cover to support with events and private functions.
