Are you a seasoned social work manager seeking career advancement and a fresh opportunity to step into senior management?
We are currently working on behalf of a client in search of a Head of Fostering to lead their capable and accomplished team of operations managers, social workers, and support staff.
Your mission: ensuring that the children and young people under their care achieve their fullest potential. Your base of operations will be Worcester, with responsibility for overseeing our West region.
This is a fostering agency that is dedicated to fostering a supportive, solution-oriented environment that employs a therapeutic approach to both operations and management.

In this role, you will lead a team of social workers, providing guidance and training with a focus on cultivating a high-performing region. You'll drive operational excellence, financial performance, and the effective execution of the organisational business plan.
You'll collaborate closely with the Assistant Director of Fostering, who is seeking an individual with exceptional interpersonal skills, prepared to manage in a therapeutic and supportive manner, with a strong emphasis on the potential and capabilities of the existing team.
As part of your responsibilities, you will engage in regional travel to support your team, with occasional national travel required to visit other offices. A car and a valid driver's license are prerequisites for the role, and you will receive an annual car allowance to facilitate this.
In your new position, you will focus on achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) related to growth, foster carer recruitment, and retention, all while prioritising outstanding care and the best possible outcomes for children. You will ensure that child protection and safeguarding practices are fully integrated.
To be considered for this role, you must possess a relevant Social Work Degree.
