Job description
The client is an established SME manufacturing organisation operating across a number of sites (UK and EU). They are high-quality precision manufacturing company producing products for a variety of industries including the aerospace sector. They are actively seeking a professional and proven to join their Quality Team.
You will play a vital role within the quality team by investigating and resolving quality control failures and maintaining and enhancing the quality management system to meet the stringent requirements of the aerospace industry. The position requires a detail-oriented individual with expertise in both quality assurance and quality control.
Key Responsibilities: -
Quality Control: -
Lead and support in resolving quality issues, including non-conformities and customer complaints, through thorough investigations and corrective actions.
Support trend analysis on quality data to identify patterns, areas for improvement, and opportunities for preventive actions.
Collaborate with production teams to implement and maintain effective quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process.
Support continuous improvement initiatives based on quality performance data and feedback.
Provide training and support to employees on quality control processes and procedures.
Quality Assurance: -
Coordinate and support customer audits to ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and expectations.
Perform supplier audits to assess and maintain the quality of incoming materials and components.
Support BSI audits to support certifications such as AS9100 and AS9120.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the ongoing development and management of the Quality Management System (QMS).
Requirements: -
Supporting qualifications are preferred but are not a necessity, experience and the right attitude are key to this role.
Proven experience in quality control and quality assurance, aerospace industry experience preferred but not required.
Root Cause and Corrective Action practitioner using 8D process or similar.
Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS) is essential (ISO9001) – Aerospace industry QMS experience advantageous.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel between sites in the UK and Europe as required.
Salary: £27k – £35k + bonus + Company pension scheme
