Do you have industry / R&D experience working on RNA-related projects?

We are currently offering the opportunity for an experienced scientist to join an innovative biotechnology company based in Cambridge. Our client is seeking a new hard-working individual to contribute to nucleic acid synthesis projects.

This is an opportunity for an individual who holds a BSc / MSc in a Biological discipline and has hands on laboratory experience with molecular biology techniques – particularly working with RNA.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.

The Role

As a scientist within the RNA team, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering projects related to nucleic acid synthesis,
• Performing in vitro RNA synthesis through screening & optimisation of DNA,
• Recording experimental methods and results / data,
• Troubleshooting and testing new assays / techniques.

Skills and Experience Needed

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• BSc / MSc / equivalent work experience in a biological discipline (essential)
• Industry lab experience working with RNA (essential)
• Prior experience with molecular biology techniques, such as gel electrophoresis, DNA handling, nucleic acid quantification, ELISA, qPCR (essential)
• Existing UK work eligibility (essential)
• Previous experience working with AKTA systems (desirable)
• Experience utilising Design of Experiments (DOE) (desirable)
