About The Role

Due to the increasingdemands, we’re looking for candidate's with experience in both Payroll and the Workday system, who will thrive in a busy operational environmentto join the Payroll Team on a Six month fixed term basis.

As a Payroll Systems Specialist you will work with the Payroll Manager in supporting the team whilst overseeing the end-to-end payroll process for all staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

Along with carrying out payroll administrativeduties your key duties will be:

• Looking after different Workday projects, implementing new ideas.
• Being involved in workday testing
• Managing the organisations pension scheme
  
• Processing weekly expenses in line with Company policies and HMRC legislation
• Monthly reconciliations for payroll, pension, HMRC and other third parties
• Processing new starters and leavers, including setting up new pension files.
• Processing P45’s and new starter checklists
• Inputting high volumes of overtime, timesheets, bonuses, allowances and statutory payments.
• Administration of sickness, absences and payments of SSP.
  
• Processing court orders
• Processing manual calculations of PAYE, SMP, SSP, SPP
  
• Production of P11d, P60’s and P45’s.
• Responding to enquiry forms, for example DWP, CSA and job centre
• Assist in processing Tax Year End in accordance with HMRC deadlines
  

Flexible working is also provided as part of the role, split 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home across the week.

You'll bring the following skill-set and behaviours:

• Experience of working with the system Workday (Essential)
• Experience in a faced paced payroll environment
• Highly organised and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Excel and Outlook
• C onfident and possess excellent communication skills
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and work flexibly during busy periods
• Knowledge to perform and check manual tax calculations.
• Ability to break down and explain complex calculations in simple terms.
• Promptly and professionally communicate with all internal and external parties
