Job description
Our client is one of the UK’s leading Civil Engineering and Groundworks companies. They provide a highways, infrastructure, groundworks, bulk earthworks, bridge infrastructure services to Main Contractors, Residential Developers and Local Authorities.
They are looking for an experienced and established Works Manager to work within their strategic infrastructure division.
Role Description
Daily planning of project works and resource management
Managing the quality of work by direct labour and subcontractors
Liaising with key stakeholders and attend liaison meetings.
Setting up regular and clear lines of communication to address issues that may arise.
Reporting to the Project Manager each month, or as frequently agreed, on progress and all commercial matters.
Maintaining a clean, safe and secure site at all times
Assisting the Project Manager with the implementation and management of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures
Directing and managing all site-based activities
Requirements
HND/HNC in Civil Engineering (not essential)
Strong project management background on civil engineering projects, specifically Highways and Infrastructure, 278 Works
Excellent supervision and organisational skills
Experience in successfully managing relationships with stakeholders and members of the public
Proven management skills and ability to manage a project effectively and efficiently, delivering high outputs and exceeding our client’s expectations
