Safe Loading and Unloading of Company vehicles and delivery of orders to all Company Stores as required.
To assemble orders as required for Stores on pallets or cages etc.
To receive goods into the Warehouse checking them for quality and accuracy.
To collect and process all Wastage and Damages to and from Warehouse too Stores.
To maintaining a clean and tidy working environment, in your vehicle and in the Warehouse at all times..
Responsibilities
- To be fully conversant and comply with Wineflair's Health and Safety at work policy
- To understand the importance placed on site cleanliness and appearance and ensure that the warehouse and yard are kept clean and tidy at all times, vehicles equipment and goods should not be left in a manner that could be hazardous
- To use the forklift and truck safely when required in accordance with any training provided and health and safety regulations
- To observe Wineflairs no smoking policy and only smoke in the designated areas
- To use the correct loading and unloading/manual handling/good practice when assembling loading and unloading cages and or pallets
- To record all injuries and accidents and advise your manager of incidents
- As required to receive goods into the warehouse in line with company procedure ensuring they are the correct goods and in good condition
- To load vehicles with due regard for weight restrictions and maintaining the quality of the goods
- To ensure goods are set up in an orderly and secure manner so as to minimize possible damage or breakage on delivery
- To ensure goods are stored safely and handled correctly to minimize wastage and maintain good quality
- Goods must be left in the stores in a manner which is not hazardous to any persons and with minimum risk of breakage of theft
- To load and unload all company vehicles ensuring all aspects of health and safety and company policy are adhered to
- All paperwork in relation to deliveries, orders, transfers and uplifts must be properly completed and forwarded to the warehouse manager
- As required to assist in carrying out regular stock checks to achieve appropriate stock levels
- To advise Warehouse Manager of stock level concerns promptly
- To ensure good communication with all stores and escalate any issues, concerns, problems to Manager
- To handle all paperwork as per company procedure, maintaining accurate records and filing systems where required
- To report for work in good time to begin work at the hours specified by the Warehouse Manager
- To attend meetings and training programmes as required by senior managemen
- To be flexible in availability to cover absenteeism and work extra hours if and when required
- To be able to work unsupervised and use your own initiative
- To work harmoniously and co-operate fully with all other members of the site team and Company Management, to foster a good team spirit
- To participate in forwarding suggestions for the improvement of the company
- To develop positive relationships and good communication with colleagues and team members
- To be flexible as regards availability and willing to work extra hours if and when required
- To maintain professional confidentiality at all times and not disclose confidential company information or material to any unauthorised person
- Any other duties relating to the position, as may be deemed necessary by the management
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Flexibility with hours.
- Must hold a full clean drivers license and be willing to work towards a HGV license
