Our client is looking for a true leader, someone who is comfortable steering direction for the whole site. You'll be the person everyone is turning for through the good and bad times. You'll need to be as strong operationally as you are financially and be able to drive strategically the next 3–5 years. A well–known brand supplying high quality food to the major retailers, you'll have to be top of your game.
As the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing operations to ensure the efficient production, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You will lead a talented team of professionals and collaborate closely with cross–functional departments to drive operational excellence and achieve strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities: - Develop and implement operational strategies
- Lead and motivate the site teams to achieve production targets, quality standards, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance food safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Ensure the site is hitting service levels & maintaining customer relationships
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and maximize profitability.
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and innovation within the operations department.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, procurement, and HR, to support product development, launch new products, and address customer needs.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and present regular reports, budgets, and forecasts to senior management.
Experience:
- Food manufacturing is essential
- Site leadership experience
- Knowledge of lean practices
- Previously been responsible for site P+L
- Strategical know–how
- Dealing with high demanding customers
