Are you a hands on Accountant looking to join a hugely successful growing company?

Do you have experience of the care sector, educational business or working for a private equity backed business ?

I am delighted to be partnering exclusively with a highly successful care provider who are looking to recruit a qualified Head Of Finance to manage the company finances and help facilitate the continued growth of the company. This role will initially be a very hands on position and there are long term team growth plans as the business develops further.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the successful applicant will play a pivotal role alongside the senior team members. My client is looking for an exceptional Accountant who is driven, ambitious and looking to progress as the company continues to expand. Due to this planned expansion there is also opportunity to develop a finance team whilst also providing both strategic and commercial guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Initially solely responsible for the finance function including both the financial and tax aspects
• Responsible, longer term for the recruitment of a finance team and developing this team through both month end and year end duties inline with deadlines
• Budget preparation and cost control
• Variance analysis with commentary
• Board reporting
• Overseeing payroll
• Involvement with contract completion and other financial commitments
• Cash management
• Providing financial analysis and guidance including forecasting long term for new projects eg: M&A
• Reviewing of supplier contracts
• Audit responsibilities

Ideal candidates and experience:

• You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
• Experience of working within the care sector, private equity backed business or educational business is a plus
• Good commercial and business awareness
• Financing and refinancing experience
