Job description

A small, rapidly growing children and young people's mental health charity, seeking a new  Fundraising and Corporate Partnerships Trustee to help us achieve our ambitious aims.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a Fundraising and Corporate Partnerships Trustee to be responsible for a helping us to develop and drive an ambitious fundraising strategy and help to build our profile.

Duties:

Strategic

• Consider the organisation’s strategic plans and make sure they reflect current fundraising requirements.
• Support the treasurer and management team in research and development of a rolling fundraising programme to support current and future programmes
• Work with the CO to regularly review the organisation's best practice in regards to safer fundraising and value for money.

Policy and Practice

• Understand the monitoring your charity does to see whether policies and procedures are effective and learn from best practice locally and nationally.
• Be a point of contact for staff or volunteers if someone wishes to complain about a lack of action in relation to fundraising.

Creating the right culture

• Champion current fundraising thinking throughout the organisation.
• Attend relevant training events and conferences.
• Support the trustees in developing their individual and collective understanding of fundraising responsibilities.

What are we looking for?

Essential Skills/Experience

• Strong donor relationships experience
• Strong links to local government funding boards
• Self-motivation
• IT literate
• Good communication and people management skills.

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Non-Profit fundraising experience
• Knowledge of mental health issues particularly in relation to children and young people
• Trustee or governance experience

In addition to the above, the Fundraising and Corporate Partnerships Trustee will also have the responsibilities and qualities of all trustees.
