In this role you will manage the networking infrastructure, you will configure, secure and maintain the core network switches, routers and firewalls. You will also be involved with WMware and ESXi.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a large network (more than 1000 devises), had experience in working with tier 1 vendors, have worked with cisco, dell or juniper and firewalls. This isn't a people management role, its important that candidate come from a strong hands on background.

This is a brilliant role for a Senior Network Engineer to working within a collaborative team where you will be a vital cog in the wheel.

The role
*Responsible for maintaining the stability of the network.
*Responsible for maintaining the health of the organisations fileservers with a VSAN/vSphere environment.
*Responsible for managing and maintaining her colleges firewall
*Undertake regular file service audits.
*Hybrid working 3 days in the college 2 days from home.
*Flexitime

The person
*At least 3 years working on an IT networking environment.
*Tier 1 vendor experience such as Cisco, dell, HP juniper, Extreme or Fortigate
*Candidates will ideally have a HND in an IT subject
*Router configuration
*Firewall configuration.
