We are recruiting on behalf of a mixed animal practice in Beccles, Suffolk for a Permanent Farm Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.
The role is full time working 4 days per week with a 1:8 1 st on call and 1:8 2 nd on call rota. Part time applications will also be considered.
- Type: Farm Animal
- OOH: 1:8 1st and 1:8 2nd on call rota.
- On-call: None
- Computer system: Merlin
The role
- The Vet will be working alongside a team of 10 Vets and 1 TB tester.
- The role will involve working with commercial Dairy, beef and sheep.
- The role will also involve education in and being involved in preventative healthcare.
- The practice offers a wide range of service which include fertility for dairy and beef, health planning, data analysis, bull breeding, AI training and ET services.
- The practice would consider applications from a Mixed Animal Vet as it is a mixed animal practice.
- Flexible shift patterns available to suit the vets lifestyle no matter which stage of career that they are in
- You will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service
- You will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients
About them:
- Established Mixed Animal practice offering some referral work
- 6 Sites. RCVS Accredited Small and Farm Animal practice.
- Large Animal practice covers areas within East Anglia and the North Norfolk Coast and Essex. They also work over the Cambridge area.
- Large Veterinary team with various levels of expertise and experience - 11 Vets with Clinical Directors.
- Large support team including practice Director
- Branches across the beautiful Norfolk, Suffolk border and surrounded by countryside
- The practice is fully equipped with all the toys including CT scanner and dental -x-ray
- Excellent local reputation along with a friendly and supportive team
- The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients

About you
- The practice will consider various levels of experience.
- The vet will be a team player, with good interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships with clients.
- The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills and ability to build working relationships easily
- The Vet will always maintain a high standard of clinical care
Package
- Salary: Up to £65,000 pro rata, commensurate to experience
