Panoramic Associates is working with a Design and Fit-Out company in Hampshire by supporting the recruitment of a Quantity Surveyor. Job Purpose:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will collaborate closely with the Team to optimize financial control, review processes for efficiency, and set a standard of excellence. Your expertise will contribute to minimizing costs, maximizing profitability, and ensuring adherence to legal standards and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Thoroughly compare subcontract prices and select the most suitable options in collaboration with the Contracts Manager.

Maintain financial control to achieve or surpass target margins.

Value and certify subcontract work, manage invoices, and ensure timely payments.

Produce valuations and client invoices, aligning with agreed terms.

Identify opportunities for Value Engineering to improve margin, program, and risk factors.

Cultivate relationships with key consultants, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors to expand our network and drive business growth.

Continuously review policies, practices, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Conduct feasibility studies to ensure project proposals meet client requirements.

Provide timely cost and value reporting for accurate cash flow management.

Attend site meetings, manage changes, and secure variation confirmations.

Apply main contract terms accurately and provide guidance to the project finance team.

Role Requirements:

Degree or HNC/HND in Surveying.

Professional qualification accredited by the Royal Institute for Chartered Surveyors.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in Pre-Contracts or Contracts Manager/Quantity Surveyor roles, preferably in commercial design & build fit-out.

Solid understanding of construction processes and contracts.

Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.

Attention to detail, methodical approach, and effective time management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

Good understanding of mechanical and electrical disciplines, JCT contracts, building regulations, and HSE guidelines.
