A leading luxury retailer is looking for a general manager to oversee one of its busy stores in Central London. This retailer has an instantly recognisable name on the high street and is currently outperforming the market, posting excellent trading results and has recently paid out maximum bonus to its colleagues. The company prides itself on delivering a world class shopping experience to its customers and has a reputation for being an employer who truly values and looks after its people. The are looking for a general manager to oversee a multi-million-pound turnover store with a headcount in the region of 50 people. You’ll be responsible for the commercial performance and results the store delivers; it is currently trading very well and is achieving its sales plan. You will own the people agenda for your store, working closely with the HR teams to ensure you have the right people, in the right roles that are achieving the high standards that the company expects. They are looking for someone who comes from a service based, retail environment, that has the ability to manage a large team and deal with the level of turnover this site delivers. You will be a manager who is able to bring your team with you on the journey you wish to take, to achieve the results the company sets out. There is an established management team who are performing well, your key to success is to utilise the strengths of the existing team, whilst developing each individual to drive their performance forward. The successful candidate will possess a curious mindset and not be afraid to challenge the status quo. The company is always looking for new and innovative ways to drive commercial performance and you’ll be given the support to implement these ideas. In return, they are offering a salary of up to £42,000, depending on experience. You will also enjoy a bonus of up to £8,000 per year and be afforded the opportunity of overseeing one of the key stores within this business.
