Job description

We are looking for a hands-on Art Director to join a creative agency that sits within a Global agency network. The scope of this role includes art direction, graphic design, and creative artwork. If you have a strong agency background and a huge passion for the retail customer journey and want to continue to develop as an Art Director, this role could be perfect for you. This permanent role comes with hybrid working 3 days on site at the UK base in Thame, Oxfordshire. Salary £45k-£53k including car allowance, depending on experience.

Our client is a shopper marketing agency based in Thame, Oxfordshire, they are the UK arm of a US agency specialising in retail commerce which is part of a Global agency group, giving them a powerful network to support their clients. Using data & insight they come up with intelligent solutions for brand campaigns & retail activations that deliver across the entire customer journey, online to in-store. With an impressive range of clients in the retail sector, they are currently going through a stage of growth and looking to grow their creative team with an experienced Art Director.

The Role

Reporting to the Creative Director and working alongside a Senior Designer, your role as Art Director will be collaborative and very involved across all aspects of the creative and graphic design process. You will develop design and concept solutions for multiple category-leading brands, on a range of product and brand activations that will be implemented as omnichannel campaigns. This will involve conceptual design such as key visual and touchpoint development as well as general graphic design of campaign assets both digital and print. In addition, you will help support with any freelance resource and ensure projects are completed on time.

About You

You are ideally working as Art Director & Graphic Designer and are adept at coming up with, and developing, your own ideas. You have a strong agency background where you have honed your skills in graphic design and concepts, ideally across B2C campaigns. You are happy with a broad scope of skills in your role including art direction, graphic design (print & digital), and creative artwork. Ideally, you have good knowledge of in-store activations and a strong understanding of the customer journey, online to in-store, and how ideas translate through all channels.
