Job description

You will provide high quality support with social and leisure opportunities, spending quality time supporting our client with engagement in lots of different fun activities including swimming, dancing, and gymnastics. Responsibilities will also include implementing therapies prescribed by the Multi-disciplinary Team; full training will be provided for this. Our team consists of an occupational therapist, speech and language therapist, physiotherapist, and paediatric neuropsychologist. You must be registered with OR working towards registration with Social Care Wales. What you will be working: Tuesday 4pm 8pm Wednesday 4pm 8pm Saturday Midday 4pm 4 additional hours to be worked flexibly to suit client and support worker Salary: £14.00 per hour weekdays £16.00 per hour weekends 45p per mile when using own car to transport client What you will be doing: Assist the client to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able in everyday matters but taking into consideration cognitive problems Liaise with and support the family as required Assist the client to ensure an adequate level of hygiene is maintained Supporting the client to use local amenities such as shops and leisure facilities and attend community events Follow the service user plan as documented for the client Maintain accurate and confidential records Participate in manual handling procedures as specified for the client Maintain professional boundaries with the client and their family members, adhering to direction from the case manager as appropriate Westcountry Case Management are a friendly, forward-thinking company who help our clients recruit their own support workers. You will be employed directly by the client; however, Westcountry Case Management oversee all aspects of the clients care package on her behalf.
