We have a fantastic opportunity for a self-driven, results-oriented Productivity & Efficiency Lead who will take a lead role in the design, development, implementation and monitoring of the Trust’s Productivity & Efficiency programme.

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing complex productivity and efficiency programmes at an organisational level. They will have strong programme management expertise, excellent data analytical skills and financial acumen, as well as strong interpersonal skills to build ownership and engagement in the delivery of agreed outcomes.

The role will require an experienced, proactive and resilient individual with excellent communication skills, who is comfortable working in a changing environment.

The ideal candidate will have personal credibility with patients, clinicians, operational managers and senior leaders, and will be comfortable providing appropriate challenge to clinical and non-clinical colleagues to support the delivery of successful outcomes.

• Develop a productivity model for the Trust to drive targeted interventions on a rolling basis with quantifiable impacts, embedded within the wider transformation programmes and improvement priorities; ensuring full utilisation of available data to drive productivity improvements, supporting colleagues to build their understanding and use of data as part of ways of working.
• Lead the day-to-day management of the overall Productivity & Efficiency Plan, working closely with the Chief Finance Officer, Head of QI & Transformation and the wider organisation to develop the plan as well as track and support delivery.
• Lead the development of the annual Productivity & Efficiency plan, working with a range of colleagues including clinicians, other healthcare professionals and senior leaders to build engagement and ownership of the plan.
• Drive innovation and ideas generation within the Trust, taking an active role in identifying and developing new schemes, using benchmarking and data analysis to support the identification of new opportunities for improvement.
• As required, take full line management responsibility for up to three staff within the QI & Transformation Team including performance and development, based on a coaching approach, and management of all personnel matters.
