Legal Compliance Officer
3 days per week
Our client a highly regarded multi-disciplined Law firm is looking to recruit a Compliance Officer to support the Firms COLP on a part time basis. With multiple offices across the South West of England, this rare and exciting opportunity requires an extra ordinary Compliance Officer.
Reporting directly to the Compliance Officer for Legal Practice, you will pay an integral part of the Compliance Function and a large proportion of the role will require you to be able to work autonomously. It is therefore essential that you can communicate effectively with people at all levels across the firm.
The Role As the newly appointed Compliance Officer, you will support and assist the COLP with all aspects of Risk and Compliance in addition to working in collaboration with the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).Duties will include but not be exclusive to, updating and monitoring the firm's Office Manual including all compliance policies and procedures, assisting with complaints and claims.
Acting as first point of contact for all staff compliance queries and delivering training on the firm's compliance platform. In addition to the above, you will organise monthly Risk and Compliance meetings and produce managerial reports relating to all aspects of the firms compliance function.
About You In order to be considered for this role you will have demonstrable experience in a similar role and be looking to work on a part time basis at a maximum of 3 days per week. You will have a working knowledge of the SRA Rules and be able to meet deadlines effectively.
