Our Founders
Our Founders (Richard Chapple and Sarah Jasper-Baker) first joined forces at The Hut Group (THG), where Richard’s eCommerce strategies and Sarah’s acute commercial sense helped grow from £10m when they arrived in 2009 to £400m (profitably) by 2015.
Richard is a commercial marketer with 20 years’ experience in DTC eCommerce. He’s an expert at unlocking huge growth for start-ups, scale-ups and established businesses. As Head of Marketing at PLAY.com, CMO at Gymshark and CEO at THG Ingenuity, he helped grow all three into unicorn companies.
Sarah is a commercial strategist, highly-skilled at helping businesses grow their bottom line. Over a 20 year career, she’s created tens of millions in revenue through end-to-end demand, loyalty, and commercial partnerships. She’s the former Commercial Marketing Director of THG and MD of THG Ingenuity Media.Reporting into our Talent Director, with a dotted line into the Chief Commercial Officer, we need you to design and deploy a new business / client development programme which reduces our talent function’s reliance on TGF’s wider consultancy work.
In 2023, the majority of our recruitment work, came from the growth assessment / organisation design work we completed for our clients.
While this approach and volume will continue (and grow) in 2024 - we have the objective to build an incremental talent revenue stream with clients who are not introduced from the strategic consultancy work. This is an incredible opportunity for an individual to take full ownership of the strategy and tactical execution, with the support of the wider TGF team to achieve this objective.
While the majority of your time will be spent on business / client development, you should also be capable of hunting and placing the right talent for your clients across all business functions from Product, Brand & Marketing to Ops, Tech & Finance.

As our Head of Talent Growth, Success Looks and Feels Like:
Within 6 months..
50% of your placements are from non-consultancy clients.
Within 12 months...
100% of your placements are from non-consultancy clients and together we’ve been able to introduce non-consultancy clients into the wider TGF business, so they’re buying additional products / services outside talent directly.
You’ve identified, designed and deployed supplementary talent services for clients - perhaps in interim, coaching, mentoring, benchmarking etc.
