Maintenance Engineer (Multi-Skilled)

Co. Tyrone

£46.5K (inclusive of shift premium) + Strong benefits package

Vickerstock are proudly working in partnership with our food manufacturing client based in Co. Tyrone to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. Our client is a local employer of choice and one of Europe's leading firms within their market.

As a Maintenance Engineer you will play a vial role in their day-to-day operations, ensuring that Machinery and Equipment is utilised efficiently and that downtime is kept to a minimum.

Duties will include

• Developing and implementing Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules and ensuring that these are followed.
• Carrying out Fault-finding & repairs on a wide range of both Mechanical & Electrical systems.
• Reacting to and prioritising breakdowns in line with production requirements.
• Assisting with new Equipment/Machinery installations, working closely with outside contractors when required.
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and consistently monitoring equipment efficiency and suggesting changes & improvements where appropriate.
• Maintaining clear and accurate records pertaining to the above.

What you will need

• Time-served Electrical OR Mechanical apprenticeship.
• Experience working in a similar role, with a strong working knowledge of Automated production machinery.
• Strong overall Electrical & Mechanical aptitude and strong problems skills relating to these systems.
• 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations (highly desirable)
• Strong level of computer literacy and ability to use electronic record keeping/monitoring systems.
