Job description
Our client, an independent construction and property consultancy, is seeking an Associate Director of Quantity Surveying to join their dynamic team in either Leeds or Sheffield. With a reputation for delivering exceptional projects across various sectors, our client is looking for an individual who can bring their expertise and experience to help drive the success of their business.
Responsibilities of the Associate Director:
- Lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors in delivering high-quality projects within set timelines and budgets.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients, architects, and contractors on cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
- Ensure accurate and detailed cost plans, schedules of work, and progress reports are produced in a timely manner.
- Oversee the tendering process, including the preparation and evaluation of tenders, negotiations, and contract award recommendations.
- Conduct thorough cost analysis, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises to ensure projects are financially viable and meet client objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry professionals, promoting the company's services and maintaining the reputation of excellence.
Requirements of the Associate Director:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior quantity surveyor or associate director role within a consultancy environment.
- Strong knowledge of cost management, contract administration, and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to inspire and empower teams.
On offer for the Associate Director:
Our client offers a competitive salary package (£65,000 - £75,000 per annum) depending on experience, along with a range of additional benefits including private healthcare, pension, bonus scheme and life assurance.
