Job description
As a Senior Defence Consultant , you will be responsible for the delivery of Technical Assurance, safety case and environmental management services for a wide range of projects, primarily across all the defence domains; land, maritime, air, nuclear and, command and control domains. Experience of implementing safety and or environmental management in the defence industry is essential with experience from other high hazard sectors, such as oil and gas or chemical industry being of interest.
Due to the nature of the work undertaken here at RPS candidates will be required to undergo the security clearance process.

The RPS Defence team has been a leading provider of technical assurance in defence safety and risk consultancy services to clients in the UK for over 30 years. We provide our core safety and environmental assessment services, including management support and independent audit to both MOD and defence supply chain organisations and some other non defence, exciting technology based clients.

Because of the nature of the work we undertake, this post is required to meet special nationality rules and therefore is only open to British Citizens (as defined in the British Nationality Act 1981). All selected candidates will also be expected to be able to hold SC or DV clearance.

What happens next?
The selection process is likely to be a two-stage competency and behavioural interview. Initial interview via MS Teams and then if successful followed by an interview at the office in Basingstoke.
