Job description

Search Consultancy are looking for experienced Groundworks & Civils Supervisors / Working Foreman for an immediate start in the Preston area.

• Housing developments
• Groundworks
• 9-10 Hours per day

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Oversee and supervise all civil engineering activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of works, including earthworks, civils, and remediation.
Monitor and control construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and budget constraints.
Conduct regular site inspections and maintain accurate records of construction progress, material quantities, and site activities.
Identify potential issues or risks and take proactive measures to prevent delays or problems during the construction phase.
Provide technical guidance to site personnel and subcontractors, addressing any queries or issues related to civil engineering tasks.
Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of construction materials and equipment.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, conducting regular toolbox talks and inspections to promote a safe working environment.
Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure effective communication and resolution of any site-related matters.
Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports on site activities, progress, and any incidents or variations to the project manager.

Candidates will require:

• A valid CSCS Gold or Black card
• A valid SSSTS certificate
• A valid First Aid at Work certificate
• A valid Temporary Works Supervisor or Coordinator certificate is preferred
• The relevant background in Groundworks and civils
• The relevant background in Housing/residential projects
• Own PPE / tools
• Checkable references
