Job description
We are working with a long standing client who are looking for a procurement assistant/buyer to support the profitable growth of their company, by ensuring budgets are adhered to and all procurement is efficiently completed.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Strategic buying
Procurement of Goods and Services for the Group of Companies
To be the driver of negotiating the best deals and track savings from budgets
To develop a knowledge of the Goods and Services each Company uses
Supplier relation/Credit account support
To raise purchase orders for all Goods and Services
Reconciliation of invoices
Resolving Invoice queries
Material cost matrix (Live updates of current market prices)
Logistics assistance
Assisting Commercial (Estimating & Accounts when required)
Commercial awareness on buying requirements/ not having standing stock
Stock taking/ Stock check
Allocate Stock, to projects
To train/mentor staff when required
Assist in the delivery of informative handovers once the company receive a PO/LOI or subcontract
