Trainee Rail Trainer

Location: HMP Highpoint South, Stradishall, Newmarket CB8 9YG OR Birmingham

Due to the location of this role and the commuting we feel that the candidates should be based in the following areas; Peterborough, Norwich, Ipswich, Chelmsford, Bedford or Cambridge or Birmingham.

We are looking for individuals with good knowledge from Rail industry and who feel comfortable with delivering the training inside the prison environment to the group of learners who are approaching the end of their sentence. 

The successful candidate will receive all appropriate training and induction to ensure that they are supported and confident in their new role. 

All applicants must have previous Rail experience and hold a minimum of COSS Competence.

About The Role

As a Trainer you will provide induction, initial assessment, and advice and guidance to all learners enrolled on any Intertrain (UK) Ltd training courses and programmes. You will assess learners’ progress and maintain accurate records of assessments of learning carried out, learner journey, achievement and feedback provided. 

For this vacancy we will consider a qualified NSAR Assured Trainers OR Trainee Trainers who are looking for further development and progression.

For The Trainee Trainerrole, we will require all applicants to have a minimum of COSS Competence and have a good railway experience and knowledge.

This role will suit someone working in Rail who is looking to step off the tools and kick start their career as a hands-on Teacher/Trainer.

We would like all candidates to have; full driving licence, excellent communication skills, ability to travel, be computer literate and have a desire to work for a national organisation.
