Job description
The University of Central Lancashire’s Research and Enterprise Service is seeking to recruit a Research Impact Officer to support the University’s research, impact and Knowledge Exchange (KE) agenda through helping create and sustain an impact culture at UCLan. This is an exciting, varied and busy role based in our Impact and Outputs Unit, which is responsible for key institutional submissions such as REF and KEF, benchmarking research performance, Open Research, researcher development and impact.
The post holder will provide advice and support to academics on creating and capturing research impact, supporting the development of a portfolio of impact case studies for the Research Excellence Framework (REF) and be responsible for planning, prioritising and organising the administration of the university’s research-impact evidence database, Impact Tracker. The successful candidate must be educated to degree level or have equivalent experiential learning, and will have experience of supporting the development of research impact and REF impact case studies. They will have excellent organisational, communication and inter-personal skills and be able to engage effectively with a wide range of staff; from Early Career Researchers to Senior Managers.
