Salary G7: £31,364 - £35,745

We have an exciting opportunity for you to work in our growing team, working on the development and support of a wide range business applications whilst pursuing an ambitious programme of work to improve our Core Technology Platform.
About the job
The Applications Team work closely with a range of colleagues across the business and develop and enhance the processes that help us improve our customers’ digital experience.
As a team we broadly work across the following areas
- Supporting IT initiatives for improvements to Council services - Working on building out and improving innovate solutions to allow internal and external customers to digitally self-serve
- Applications Support - We have a variety of applications currently in use at the council that need support and maintenance
- Integration between our systems
- Providing support to day-to-day operations, ensuring incidents and requests are resolved
- Developing, configuring, testing and implementing software systems that enable effective service delivery and are value for money
Roles and Responsibilities: - To assist and develop applications and automated process using the Microsoft Power Platform to improve business processes with Senior Developers
- Ensuring that transition of any new development into support is completed
- Provide advice, system knowledge and technical expertise to relevant stakeholders on applications
- Working with Senior Developers contribute and support IT initiatives for improvement to Digital and ICT services
- Analyse and interpret customer requirements and assist with design specifications
- Undertake thorough testing of developments going forward
- Provide support to new and existing systems
About you: The successful candidate will have skills in some of the following areas.
- Power Platform (Dynamics 365 and Power Apps)
- Languages: C#, JavaScript, PowerShell, Python
- Source control systems: GitHub, Git Source Control
- Microsoft Azure DevOps
- Database technologies: SQL (Inc. T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS)
- Other technologies: MS Access, MS Office, Power Bi,
It would be great if the candidate has experience in a 1 st and 2 nd line support role. Any Microsoft certifications would be a bonus but training will be provided.
