We are currently recruiting for a prestigious client for a Commercial Manager who will be responsible for taking the financial lead on key Real Estate development packages delivering to agreed profit margins. You'll take responsibility for the regular review of financial performance of packages within the project in order to improve financial certainty and maximise commercial success.

Responsibilities

To safeguard the financial and commercial interests of the company by managing and controlling commercial risk, income and expenditure

Understand and apply commercial & financial procedures and reporting systems

Commercial & financial management of assigned building works packages (medium to high-value) through procurement to final account.

Report accurately to the monthly forecast final account

• Contributing to the delivery of the project in a timely, efficient, sustainable and safe manner whilst achieving commercial targets
• Demonstrates a clear understanding of the relationship between cost, value and profit
• Manages cash flow to the benefit of the project and business
• Meeting client expectations and enhancing the reputation of the business

Must have excellent people management skills

• Management and supervision of on-site QSs as the project progresses
• Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain and develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
• To run all commercial aspects from procurement to final account
• Completion of all identified actions to deadlines Proactive project and technical support:
• Hold regular financial review for allocated projects, held on project site, with project financial team to address financial performance, identify potential issues or problems and collaborate to deliver solutions
• Provide accurate and timely feedback and guidance to the project financial teams on allocated projects
• Maintains detailed prelim forecasts and actual costs and intervenes were negative trends identified
• Supports the project manager to manage project risk and opportunities
