The Ayrshire Hospice provides quality specialist palliative care for adults with life-limiting illness withinAyrshire and Arran. We provide a wide range of services and care in people’s homes, care homes and hospitals, aswell as in the hospice itself. This is provided at no cost to our patients or their families. What We Are Looking For
Join our dedicated team at The Ayrshire Hospice and become an integral part of our commitment to providingexceptional care to patients with life-limiting illnesses. We are currently seeking a passionate Charge Nurse tojoin our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team at our 11-bedded In-Patient Unit (IPU).
This is an opportunity for a compassionate nurse to lead our team with professionalism and empathy. As a ChargeNurse, you will play a pivotal role in providing guidance and support to our healthcare professionals, ensuringthat our patients receive the highest standard of care.
We offer great training, support and development to all our staff with regular PDP reviews, reflection sessions andinhouse training. Within our IPU, we have an excellent nurse to patient ratio which allows staff the ability togive individuals the care they require and provide support to them and their families. The Charge Nurse willwork alongside nurses, doctors, clinical pharmacist, social workers and allied health professionals to providecare for patients who may have been referred for symptom management, MDT assessment, Nursing care, Respite andend of life care.
We are currently based within East Ayrshire Community Hospital in Cumnock on a temporary basis until the completionof building work within our previous base at Racecourse Road in Ayr (Winter 2024). We will then return to abespoke and specifically designed unit (12 beds) which will have all the requirements to care for our patientsin the best way possible.

Upon the much-anticipated move back “home”, we are looking for someone dynamic, knowledgeable and forward-thinkingwho will lead and advise on the set up and maintenance of our brand-new Hospice building as well as our othercommercial properties.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to lead the Estates & Facilities Service and as such we arelooking to appoint a highly motivated and conscientious individual to work as our Head of Facilities andProperty Management. You will introduce new processes, procedures & partnerships to adopt the higheststandards of health & safety to ensure successful ongoing operation of the Hospice. You will be responsiblefor the overall management of our buildings including the management of hard and soft services, health andsafety and statutory compliance and have budgetary management of expenditure.

This important role calls for strong organisational and communication skills with a high degree of planning andattention to detail. Significant experience in the facilities management sector is essential. The successfulcandidate will also have strong financial skills and be able to work well under pressure. You will also haveexcellent communication skills and be able to prioritise and work under pressure.

About the role
This role is key to developing a solid foundation to facilitate the growth of services delivered by volunteersthrough the creation of a fulfilling and positive volunteer experience.
You’ll be responsible for the budget and managing a team of 5 part-time community-based volunteer experiencespecialists (based across the 4 nations).
You’ll also be working with key stakeholders from across the organisation i.e. volunteers, services, people andculture, finance, IT, governance and legal, fundraising and research so those staff that work alongsidevolunteers as well as those volunteers that themselves lead volunteers, have access to up-to-date informationand resources.
A key focus will be to encourage greater diversity within our networks, so they reflect the communities in which theyserve, as well as empowering our lead volunteers through encouraging mentoring and engagement between volunteernetworks.

About Eczema Outreach Support
Eczema Outreach Support (EOS) is a UK-wide charity supporting children and young people with eczema and theirfamilies. Originally set up in Scotland in 2011, we now have over 4,000 member families living across theUK.
At EOS, we want every child with eczema to thrive. We believe that having eczema should not – and will not - stopchildren's ambitions and dreams. By providing direct practical advice and emotional support to wholefamilies, we empower young people to take back control of their health and break isolation. Our goal is forevery child with eczema to know they are not alone.

About the Role
Our Business Support Officer will provide vital support across a range of areas including finance, administration andIT so EOS can deliver high quality support to families. You would be the main office contact for EOS which wouldinclude periods of lone working.
