Project Manager – Highways

Working Pattern: 37 hrs per week – Monday to Friday

Location: West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2(Hybrid working)

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Design and Project Management Team based at our Trent Bridge House Office in West Bridgford (hybrid working).

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of highway and engineering projects which enhance the road and transport network. These include active travel schemes promoting sustainable modes of transport, such as cycling, walking and public transport.

What you’ll be leading on

Key areas of responsibility will include: –

• Responsibility for the end-to-end project management in the delivery of highway and civil engineering projects.
• Manage project requirements and change through a risk management approach. Lead on the communication and consultation of projects.
• Manage the production of a range of documentations for planning, land assembly and contracts.
• Hold internal and external parties that form the project team to account to achieve the project programme and outputs.
• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety management systems, processes and environmental legislation.
• Provide specialist knowledge and advice to support project delivery.

To be Successful

• A degree in Transport, Civil Engineering, or a related subject and post qualification relevant experience, or equivalent knowledge gained through practical experience would be advantageous.
• Experience in a highways or civil engineering environment would be advantageous. Strong ICT skills including Microsoft Office applications and project management software.
• Proficient at project management.
• Experience of monitoring budgets and financial reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written skills, with experience of providing information, communicating and working collaboratively.
• Knowledge of statutory procedures, contract preparation and management, planning and funding bids would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail, reliable, well organised.
