Part-time Primary School Playworker in an After-School Club – Term Time Only

15 hours per week (3 pm to 6 pm), 5 days per week, 39 weeks per year

1 Year Fixed Term Contract

Grade 4 spine point 4-9 - £28,128 - £30,309

(actual pro-rata salary £10,128.56)  

The successful candidates will:

·        NVQ Level 2 playworker, childcare, or equivalent or willing to undergo training.

·        Knowledge of appropriate play activities e.g. crafts, sports and games

·        A basic awareness of health and safety practices

.       Organise, plan and lead on games and sports

.       Supervise children and give out refreshments and food.

.       Deal with injuries and emergencies

·        Be supportive, nurturing and understanding with high expectations.

·        Communicate well with parents, carers and members of staff, as well as pupils.

·        Have excellent communication skills

·        Work well as part of a team
