Job Description
As Transport Planning Manager you will have the following responsibilities:
- Managing and improving the day-to-day logistics and transport operations.
- Planning and scheduling delivery routes.
- Overseeing a team of logistics personnel.
- Ensuring compliance with transport policies, procedures and legislation.
- Reporting on transport cost, productivity and any performance indicators.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifying areas for improvement in the logistics process.
- Ensuring that health and safety regulations are adhered to.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Transport Planning Manager should have:
- Proven managerial experience within a logistics or transport environment.
- Previous manual planning experience
- Excellent knowledge of transport regulations and health and safety procedures.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in relevant logistics software.
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Transport Management CPC is essential
