Job description
Our Hereford based client is seeking a Finance Reporting Analyst to join them on a full time, temporary basis for approx. 6months. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and reporting, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. This role involves the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
You can expect:
- Salary: circa £35k, our client is willing to consider experienced candidates seeking a higher salary
- Working hours: Monday – Thursday (8:30am – 5pm), Friday (8:30am – 2pm)
- Mostly office based, although the opportunity to work from home for 2 days a week is available
- Weekly pay
- Immediate start
What you will be doing:
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data by reconciling discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making and forecasting activities
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial reporting
What we are looking for:
- Experience within finance, accounting, or reporting
- Cost accounting experience would be highly beneficial
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software, such as Microsoft Excel, SAP, or Oracle
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills, ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines
