The opportunityAn interesting role for someone who enjoys creating content for digital and print channels, who has strong copywriting and communication skills as well as an enquiring mind. You will be passionate about developing strong brands with an eye for consistency and detail.

This is a central role within the marketing department and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can support our plans to further promote the firm’s expertise across a variety of media.
The roleReporting to the Head of Marketing and working alongside the wider marketing team, you will co-ordinate a communications plan and produce a variety of content. You will write for our website, social channels and advertising and print materials as well as creating newsletters and email content.
You will support the creation of photography and video as well as managing the process for producing a variety of marketing materials and our presence at outside events.
You will be closely involved in brand campaigns across a number of platforms, being a fierce ‘brand guardian’ to ensure that our public face and tone of voice is strong and consistent.
Internal communication is important too, so you will assist in the creation of internal newsletters and input into the firm’s marketing ideas forum.
You will be confident in dealing with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers and able to identify and follow up content opportunities and assist with other projects and tasks within the team when additional resource is required.
The role is full time, Monday to Friday. We will consider some flexible/home working for the right candidate, alongside regular update meetings with the marketing team. Occasional travel between offices is required therefore a full UK driving license and appropriate car insurance is necessary. The salary is competitive and based on experience.
Day-to-day
The Marketing Executive role includes:
- Co-ordinating a communications plan for each area of the business
- Producing written communications for dissemination through digital and social channels, based on SEO research of keywords, as well as print media
- Proactively researching the firm’s business areas and putting forward ideas for articles and comment
- Working closely with other members of the team and providing first line support on a day-today basis, escalating to HOM as required
- Editing the firm’s magazine with the planning and creation of articles and coordinating each issue from inception through to proofing and final sign-off
- Supporting the creation and editing of website content and strong involvement in SEO projects and ongoing best practice
- Working with our editorial support to provide articles for print publications
- Developing and implementing a programme of email communications to engage with various audiences across the business
- Supporting the social media coordinator in planning and providing content as required
- Supporting the Agricultural Marketing Assistant with show planning and logistics
- Consistently using our brand tone of voice and working within brand guidelines
- Supporting the development of key messaging for advertising campaigns
- Supporting the production of internal newsletters
- Helping to develop a library of images and videos and be involved in planning and assisting at photography/videography shoots
- Build relationships with the firm’s partners and stakeholders and encourage sharing of ideas
- Support the marketing team in wider projects as required
Your skills and qualifications:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in-role experience
- An excellent written and verbal communicator
- A creative writer and keen researcher
- Familiarity with SEO tools
- Shows attention to detail with excellent grammar and proof-reading skills
- Ability to adapt content for various mediums
- Able to work creatively with others and to confidently put forward ideas
- Competent with office and creative platforms and ability to learn new applications (for email communications etc.)
- Proven experience in a similar role is desirable and examples of written content are helpful
- English Language GCSE minimum grade 5 (B)
- A qualification in marketing or public relations would be advantageous
