We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Payable Assistant to join our clients Accounting & Finance department. The position is mainly remote with one day per month in the office in Bedfordshire.

Description
- Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.
- Handling account payable for separate entities and vendors.
- Processing payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, checks, refund requisitions etc., in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payable data.
- Preparing bills, invoices and bank deposits with compliance to approved accounting procedures.
- Coordinating with the financial team to complete financial audits.
- Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all financial files.
- Maintaining vendor files and corresponding with vendors to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
Profile
A successful 'Senior Accounts Payable Assistant' should have:
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
