Job description
TÜV SÜD America Inc., a renowned global leader in testing, inspection, and certification, currently has an exciting opportunity available in Wakefield, Massachusetts. We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Purchasing Coordinator.
This is a full-time hybrid role, which involves reporting to the office 2-3 days a week while working remotely on the remaining days. As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in our procurement operations, ensuring efficient and effective purchasing processes.
Overview:
Seeking an administrative oriented individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills who is a team player but also works well independently to fill an open position in our Procurement Department. This full time position offers an opportunity to work in the office and at home (hybrid model). The Purchasing Coordinator reviews and processes the daily requisitions and prepares and executes Purchase Orders. He/she also administers the e-procurement system, maintains the vendor database, manages the office supply inventory, problem solves and helps communicate procurement policies. He/she will also administer the corporate vehicle fleet program. Educational background or professional experience in procurement related activities preferred. Knowledge of SAP and e-procurement systems a plus. This position reports to the Procurement Manager.
