About our school:
Keys Group is a leading provider of therapeutic care and education for children and young people. We are currently looking for a passionate, creative, and pro-active Occupational Therapist to work within Somerset Progressive School. This is a flexible position working closely with our school community.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a continually developing organisation as part of a friendly, professional, and supportive multi-disciplinary team. Please note this role will involve working at two different sites, therefore a driving licence and access to a vehicle will be essential.
Overview of the role of Occupational Therapist;
· Providing direct assessment
· Intervention and consultation
· Playing a key role in the provision of high-quality services for pupils with complex special educational needs and disabilities
· Working with the support of other professionals within our Clinical Team in this varied and rewarding role
We would love to hear from people who:
· HCPC registered therapists are preferred
· Interest in attachment and developmental trauma
· Post qualification experience of SEN education and familiarity with a variety of OT assessments tools and interventions appropriate to the needs of children and young people with complex needs
· Experience in sensory integration and sensory-based interventions
· Passionate champions of students with SEND
· At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment
