The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Project Manager to support our Together to Thrive project.
This exciting Project Manager role will lead the implementation of Together to Thrive - a targeted programme for atrisk families, children and young people utilising a task sharing model.
Together to Thrive (TTT) is a collaboration between MHF, NHS Tayside CAMHS, Dundee City Council (via the Alliance)and third sector delivery organisations and school referral partners. Funding comes via the Whole FamilyWellbeing Fund.
It aims to deliver transformational change in how support is delivered to families. This includes working withcommunity organisations to enhance the provision of support for parents of children (5 to 11) with neurodevelopmental concerns who are currently on the CAMHS waiting list or identified via schools as having emergingneuro developmental differences. With the overall aim of impact of providing early support and preventingescalation of children onto CAMHS waiting list where not required
Task sharing is an evidence-based model that adapts and redirects support from specialist mental services tocommunity-based settings.
The postholder will draw upon the expertise from within MHF, local families and community partners. This includes NHSTayside CAMHS, sessional parental advisors, education and community-based organisations. They will build onlearning from the first 18-month pilot, which ran until March 24, with the view to build relationships with newpartners, identify key areas for future development and opportunities to embed the Together to Thrivemodel.

About the Role
SAMH Redhall is a mental health recovery project based in a walled garden in South-West Edinburgh. We have awonderful location in a wooded dell by the Water of Leith and indoor and outdoor facilities includingpolytunnels, vegetable beds, ornamental gardens, orchard, kitchen, library and training room.
The Instructor Team at Redhall provide a supportive environment to learn and practice skills in horticulture. Theservice has structured days and encourages people to build routine, be more active, spend time outdoors and workalongside others. Our Peer Worker and Employability Practitioner offer additional support for people to bettermanage their mental health, develop confidence and progress their goals.
The garden is open to the public during the week and also plays host to local partner projects who might arrangetheir own activities in the grounds. We also organise open days to sell plants, promote the service and raiseawareness.
The Team Leader will be responsible for the day to day delivery of effective social and therapeutic horticultureactivities at SAMH Redhall, creating a positive and purposeful environment for staff, service users and widercommunity.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone with a track record of managing the delivery of programmes in health, greenspace and/orcommunity settings. You will have the skills to undertake all aspects of managing the project day to day fromthe ground up - overseeing site/garden maintenance, developing programmes, managing staff and ensuring qualityof support.
You have an understanding of partnership working and can identify and develop opportunities for joint working,coordinate and communicate with colleagues across the third sector and make reports to funders as required.
You have leadership experience and can confidently bring a team together with a strong sense of purpose andcommitment to SAMH values. You are someone who wants to work with people with the ability to build rapport, showgenuine interest in their recovery and handle difficult conversations with compassion. We are seeking a Communications Assistant to support and deliver the creation of inspiring communications and eventsto maximise Scottish Families’ reach and engagement across Scotland.
This post will work alongside our Communications Development Officer and assist with our content creation, socialmedia presence, storytelling efforts, campaigning, media relations, and support our whole team with theircommunication needs. This role is fun and rewarding with a broad range of projects to get involved in. You willcreate a place for family members to share their experiences, build and maintain our online community, promoteour events and encourage donations, and assist with making sure we are reaching more families across Scotlandthrough advertising, campaigning and collaborations.
The post is located at Edward House, Glasgow G2 3EX, with staff currently working between home and office. It isexpected that the post holder will be required to work occasional evenings and weekends. This post will be partof Scottish Families’ staff team and be supervised by the Communications Development Officer.

We are seeking applicants who are educated to HNC level, vocational qualification (level 4) or a relevantprofessional qualification, with a proven record of working across social media channels (specifically X,Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn); creating content for online purposes such as graphics, films and audio;collaborating with partners on projects and campaigns; and delivering campaigns with set targets and audiences.Applicants should have knowledge of new communication developments and trends, and of how to boost engagementwith supporters on social media. Candidates should be able to work as a supportive team member, contributingideas and assisting colleagues; be a competent user of social media channels and content creation software suchas Canva; be skilled in storytelling and collecting stories from supporters; and be able to create video contentsuch as Instagram Reels and TikToks using phones and relevant software, with excellent copywriting skills.
Change Mental Health is a leading national mental health charity providing unique support to people with severe andenduring mental ill health. Change Mental Health have received an award from the National Lottery Improving Lives Fund to recruit a Peer Workerat the Signature Project, a service for men who have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Many of the men facemultiple challenges in addition to their mental health, for example poverty, offending, drug and alcohol use andautism or ADHD. We offer face to face, online and telephone support from our base at the Stafford Centre inBroughton Street, and we work with men directly in the community. We also host a peer support group facilitatedby men with lived experience.
This is a varied and rewarding role in a small, committed team, offering person-centred support to a wide range ofmen across Edinburgh. Under supervision of more senior staff, the post-holder will work with men to achieve whatis important to them.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be able to intentionally use their experiences to instil hope, to model recovery andself-care skills, and to quickly build relationships with men who may mistrust services. They will enjoy workingas part of a reflective team and have an ability to work flexibly and creatively. They should also be able todemonstrate personal resilience, and have some knowledge of the range of voluntary and statutory services inEdinburgh.
No qualifications or previous experience of support or care work are required as full training will be provided, butcandidates should share the values of Change Mental Health and have a willingness to learn. This post is subjectto membership of the PVG Scheme and appropriate checks.
