Job description

To deputise for the Nursery Manager in her absence
Assist in curriculum planning and implementations
Support with implementing systems of observation and record keeping enabling children's attainment and progress to be effectively and regularly assessed to monitor the effectiveness of assessment procedures.
Support with ensuring records are properly maintained e.g. attendance register, accident and incident book.
Liaise closely with parents/guardians/carers, informing them about the Nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children's progress and encouraging parent's involvement.
To notify the Nursery Manager regarding absence from Pre School.
Be open and prepared to undertake further relevant training
To respect the duty of data protection and confidentiality at all times.
Undertake any duties as may reasonably be directed by the Nursery Manager.
To assist the Nursery Manger in the supervision of Pre School sessions.
To maintain the safety, security, physical and emotional welfare of the children attending Pre School.
To provide stimulating activities for the children, appropriate to their ages and stages of development.
To ensure that Pre School and Community Centre policies & procedures are implemented and maintained, ensuring all staff understand and work to preschool nursery policy and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies.
Ensure that rooms used by the Pre School are left in a clean and tidy condition after each session.
To attend Pre School staff planning meetings.
Requirements:
Must be at lease Level 3 qualified.
Have an excellent understanding of EYFS
Sound knowledge and experience of working with SEND children.
Leadership experience within an educational setting.
Knowledge of Safeguarding, Health & Safety and Behaviour Management.
