Job description
An Accounts Assistant will be expected to perform the following tasks on a regular basis:
- Invoicing on sage line 50& updating sales ledger
- Updating purchase ledger.
- Reconciling bank accounts & petty cash account
- Reconciling creditors & debtors ledger, Month ends, Vat return and Year End Accounts preparation
- Filing all accounting documents in order.
- Verifying price calculations & preparing pricing catalogue
- Assisting work shop for operations related to orders
- Maintaining spreadsheets for special jobs & other
- Any other work required by the Management.
Personal Specification
Typical qualities of a successful Candidate include:
- Strong understanding of the workings of an office
- Experience using sage line 50 and payroll and book-keeping for minimum of 2 years.
- Would hold or be working towards an AAT certificate or related accountancy qualification.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – to deal with customers and external contacts
- Good organisational skills and ability to work by your own or as part of a team.
- Good communication over the phone.
- Multitask, flexible and attention to details.
- Possess sound working knowledge of MS word and Excel.
