My client, a construction company, is seeking an Office Manager to join their friendly team. The Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the office, organising paperwork, managing databases, supporting our construction team, and supervising administrative staff. The ideal candidate will be friendly, energetic, and efficient with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the office and ensure efficient communication between departments
- Manage our database and ensure all data is properly filed and organised
- Create and maintain up-to-date paperwork and filing systems for all projects
- Provide customer service to clients, vendors, and visitors, responding to inquiries and scheduling appointments as needed
- Supervise the administrative staff and ensure they are effectively supporting the construction team
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports, and ensure timely payment to vendors and contractors
- Manage inventory and order office supplies and equipment as needed
- Assist with ad hoc projects for the Executive Team and be a valuable resource to the organisation
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in office management or a similar role
- Previous experience within the construction industry using the EDMS Procore is desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Organising invoices, experience with Zero is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with colleagues.
