Job Description
- The main purpose of this role is to oversee the implementation of our new Finance Software Business Central.
- Acting as our finance link with our project managers and our developers at M-Hance. Troubleshooting and fixing finance and related system issues with support from our Developers.
- Resolving interface conflicts and reviewing systems performance and resolving issues. Referring to IT and/or external suppliers as necessary
- Onboard users to Finance related systems.
- Systems performance and maintenance
- Work with the Finance team to identify and implement potential system improvements, implementing Business Central, changes to process and internal training.
- Ensure all changes are documented and tested.
- Review current interfaces, forms and procedures of finance systems and propose solutions to streamline and reduce manual intervention.
- Review integration of multiple interfaces to Business Central, such as CRMs, credit card portal
- Instil a culture of robust control and efficiency throughout Finance and the wider organisation.
- Ensure policies and procedures exist for all finance systems, working with Finance Managers where necessary.
- Ensure adherence to document retention policies in Finance.
- Liaise with external stakeholders (internal and external auditors, system developers) and keep up to date to ensure good practice in this area.
- Support the Deputy Director of Finance in ensuring that internal financial controls are fit for purpose and are enforced, measured, and monitored and improved where necessary.
- To work with the team to reduce the reliance on spreadsheets and financial information held offline.
- Train and support finance team members and other staff in the use of financial systems and procedures.
- Delivery of system training for finance and non-finance staff, covering aspects such as core transactional processes (purchase to pay, sales to receipt, and reporting )
The Successful Applicant
You will need to have a very good proven knowledge of systems implementation and be in a position to commit to a temporary assignment lasting between 3-6 months.
