Veterinary Surgeon
Crossroads Veterinary Centre, High Wycombe
Salary up to £68,000 depending on experience plus a relocation allowance up to £3,000.
One of our longstanding vets is sadly relocating to Scotland! So, we find ourselves in need of a new team member to join our progressive, friendly, patient-focused practice based across the Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire border (High Wycombe, Hazlemere and Watlington). We would be particularly keen to speak to applicants with a surgical bias, but more important than anything is someone who is compassionate and forward thinking. We are a very patient-focused practice and are proud to provide care for the Stokenchurch Dog Rescue, as well as many other local and national charities.
Rota patterns that work for you
As a VetsNow host practice, we are able to offer a high-level of 24/7 care to our patients, without the need to work out of hours. We work 3 in 7 Saturday mornings, with the practice closing at midday, and no Sundays. We pride ourselves on a good work life balance and are happy to consider all flexible working patterns to give the best balance possible to all our staff members. We would be happy to discuss a full-time (40-hour week) or part-time position.
About our practice
We are a proudly nurturing practice, with a big emphasis on colleague support and continuing development. We are a 10-vet practice, and have a wide range of abilities and strengths; from new graduates to advanced practitioners. We are also incredibly proud of our fantastic, 12 strong, nursing team, and dedicated veterinary care assistants. We are a longstanding nurse training facility and actively encourage all our team members to follow their passions, which has led to a wide range of nurse led clinics and development of patient care.
We have all the usual toys - portable ultrasonography, digital radiography including dental radiography, endoscopy and rigid scopes, extensive in-house lab at all sites and are always open to ideas on how to improve the facilities on offer.
